It sure seems as if frequent Drum cover artist and Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler has been spreading his double-bass dexterity around the metal scene these days. First he cropped up on Megadeth’s 2016 album Dystopia and accompanied the band on much of the ensuing tour (he was replaced by Dirk Verbeuren from Soilwork in July). Now Adler announced his latest side project with a reunited Nitro — the ’80s glam metal band that originally featured Drum columnist Bobby Rock.
“I’m not sure who keeps giving my phone number to the most talented musicians on the planet, but I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Adler told UltimateGuitar.com. “I’m blown away by the modern sound and groove in the material. The chaos has been harnessed and it’s incredibly heavy.”
